Ok here is the damage....
Figures for Douglas Fir
For 70/75 the light side full length shaft is 440gr. at 32".
That's 13.75gr per inch
13.75x 30" arrow= 412.5
Head=200
Fletching=12
Nock (5/16)= 10
Light finish=15
Glue=3
Grand total of 652.5gr finished arrow

For 75/80 light side is 470gr full length 32"
That's 14.7 gr per inch
14.7gr x 30"= 441gr
Head=200
Fletching =12
Nock=10
Light finish=15
Glue=3
Grand total of 681gr finished arrow

Not horrible weights in my book...i shoot those weights with 40 and 45 lb bows. Not past 20 yards though. Should do better with 53lb, and you will get great penetration. If you want lighter then this, you may have to go to sitka spruce or Port Oxford cedar.

Go with rear taper to lower weight and quicker arrow recovery from paradox

Yeah I had made the order last night I got a little anxious . I had put the 50-55 so I called them and they suggested the 60-65 I'm guessing that one will come with the 70-75 as one of the other spines . That's great info your pretty smart

Not really that smart...ive just made a ton of mistakes and learned from them...lol! Hopefully one in the test bundle works. It my end up shorter then you really wanted, but as long as you can get broadhead/hand clearance, that's all you really need.

It won't bother me if I have to trim a little off the shaft. As long as I can find something repeatable. And once I get something repeatable the. I can tweak things to see what I like best. I'm sure I'll make some trial and errors but it will be fun along the way

Yeah and I'm currently bareshafting my carbon arrows and playing with point weight. And I already got a straighter flying arrow and I see a lip better groupings now. But when I bought my arrows they were cut a little longer than my draw. So I was showing up stiff. So I moved from 100g to 125g and it has straightend out a bit but it's still just a smudge stuff but still better than what it was

I bet I could throw a 175 g point on the carbons and it would straighten out. But I'm gonna shoot the bare shaft like this for a few days
