Getting full of coffee this morning, fixin ta head out for a view. Taking my climber this morning and going into an area where some White Oaks are usually dropping acorns by this time. Hope I'm right.
Greatest Deer call I have ever found is the sound of falling acorns!

My hunting buddy (sadly passed now) used to pick up acorns as he walked and put them in his pocket. He would take a pocketful out when he hunted and toss them under his stand every so often. He took more than one deer this way.

I have done that myself Kirk. Enjoyed sitting amongst a few White Oaks this morning, unfortunately they were not falling yet and I saw no deer.

Did have a big Tom cross within range, at the end of the clearing in front of my bow. But he picked me off as I turned my bow towards him which was behind me. By the time I hit anchor he was fading into the brush!
