Kentucky bow season ends Monday!

#1 Post by Carpdaddy »

And I am already beginning to mourn! Monday January 16th here, any of you have any season left? I did not do very well this season on Deer but I sure am feeling blessed to have been given health enough to get out and try! Saw plenty, killed one small doe, missed too much, and took many pictures, but didn't get what I was after. But when you are told you have a cancerous tumor, have a kidney removed after having a transplant years earlier, and then get blessed to get out there again, it just has new meaning and feeling to it. 2016 was filled with weakness, Drs, probes, needles, tubes, scans, and surgery, but I was blessed to hunt again, God is good!! Gained 30 pounds since also but we won't talk about that!

Tony, I am overjoyed that you got out as much as you did and were able to share with us. Last year you were pretty frazzled. Last year was a very good year for me despite being empty handed; this year not so much. It's like that some times. Rejoice in the good years, and relive the memories in the not-so-good ones.
Aim small, miss small!

Today was the last so I spent the entire day hunting and never saw a single deer! I was very tired from two Church services and a funeral yesterday but had to get out there. Went to a different location on the same farm and watched the sun rise from a tree. Love this stuff.

When it got good light I spotted something, don't look much like a deer though.

Began seeing lots of rubs in a little thin thicket between two fields, wasn't there last time I came through there. Probably near 20 of them in the little strip.
