Man it got HOT this afternoon. I was out shooting and it was uncomfortable in the sun. Suppose to get even hotter over the next 2 days...then a cold front hits!
The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.

Well, Chez didn't see anything Saturday morning. I wasn't feeling well due to sinus/allergies and tried to sleep in the truck while we hunted.

We did however, have a good night dove hunting Saturday Eve with a limit of 30 and followed up Sunday with 20. Shooting wasn't near as good on Sunday.

nice, cant wait to get out into a treestand. Still got to fletch up a few arrows and tune some woodies before picking a bow for the year. up in the air between 3 of them right now. 40# darton, 45# COugar and my 53# Maddog..... Likely take the 40# Darton as I am shooting it really well with 29" 1916 and 150 points which ill use 4 blade stingers to hunt with.

We have highs in the 70s and lows upper 40s this coming week :)

be glad when some of the ticks and undergrowth dies off.

I really like the pictures of the actual stand from a critters point of view. It is very interesting to me to see how others set theirs up and how much foliage is in front and behind to break up silhouettes. Keep em coming and don't forget to snap that picture before you climb up!
