Looks like a great evening Tony. Anytime deer are seen, makes for an adrenaline rush!
The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.

Great pics and vids everyone. Best of luck this season. I'll be placing stands too very soon. Hoping to get some pics up soon. I'm kinda behind the schedule on this one. I loaned my Lone Wolf stand and climbing sticks to my buddy on Labor Day weekend because his tree stand was damaged in a storm. I put up a ladder stand and helped him put my stand up. I need to finish putting up one or two more stand. Ugh!

Where are you setting up, Dennis? PHL or private property?
Aim small, miss small!
Re: Views from the Perch 2017!
Yesterday's hunt and pictures were on private land owned by the father in law of the Guy I was hunting with. He was a Deacon in a Church I was Pastor of for many years. A good friend and one of the guys I take a hunting trip with most every year. Our hunting methods are much different as he always has the latest and greatest of gadgets. He drove me in on a nice side by side, dumped 100 pounds of corn, got his new Matthews bow out, and was looking through a range finder or something while sitting there. I don't mean this as a criticism, as most of you know I don't care how the other feller hunts, I enjoy what I do and he does too. We don't question the others methods.

I'm hunting private land about an hours drive from where I live. Ogle Co.Captainkirk wrote:Where are you setting up, Dennis? PHL or private property?

Remember the little spike picture above, my buddy got me practice drawing and aiming. All I needed to do was release.... And probably Miss! well maybe not on that one.

Lucky you! I'd love to get back on private land again, but it's rapidly drying up.Longbowfanatic wrote:I'm hunting private land about an hours drive from where I live. Ogle Co.Captainkirk wrote:Where are you setting up, Dennis? PHL or private property?
