Views from the ground 2017
Here is a special place for ground hunters to post.
The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.
Re: Views from the ground 2017
Now why didn’t I think of that? Good idea, I know we got some ground hunters here, and I would like to see their set ups.

I looked at a couple last year but don't think my 58" Grizzly will clear it.

And that K-Mag appears to be a 76 which is my birth year. If you ever want to part with it let me know.

Graps, I see you are shooting (wood) footed shafts? Did you foot them or buy them? I hunted last year with cedars footed with purple heart. Did a great job on my doe. I got mine from "The Footed Shaft"
I have a Double Bull deluxe blind, and with positioning just right, I can shoot up to a 62" bow if I cant it up into the peak. Got to be very careful though. A 58" or even a 60" is better of course.

I use a ghillie and brush myself in with just smal twigs and branches. Saw 4 bucks last night come down this trail. 1 9pt 10 yards away facing me and as I drew and waited for a broadside shot he saw me and bolted. Very frustrating but fun. I know better to take a shot when their not completely broadside.
