Mark is trying to take my friend! As I came out of the woods and up the last steep place into the field I met her again face to face! That can get a fellers heart rate up!

Since I’m back in a tree extremely early being the last hunt I’ll catch you up a little from the tree. After coming down this morning (saw nothing) I walked around to scout a little. I stopped to take my meds and leaned my bow up on a tree till I finished. As I was doing that I looked up and saw a big Yote headed right for me. I grabbed my bow and nocked an arrow quick as I could but not quick enough for ole Wiley! It had done passed on by less than 15 yards and got into the thicket below me by then, no shot. Bad thing is that I had an arrow ready but when I sat the bow down the arrow bumped the tree and fell off on the ground. That feller had perfect timing.

Then back to camp for a “snack”. Hamburger, porkys, and a big fat onion. Be thankful your not sharing a camper with me tonight.

Sadie was feeling neglected so I let her wear my hat.

Soon we were right back at it even with the heat! I sat in a makeshift ground blind and Mark in a store bought one, this is because Turkey were everywhere. While sitting there I saw the Turkey come up far to my left, bout 80 yards. As they faded from view I relaxed and texted Mark to tell him about the Turkey. With my nose in my phone I caught movement to my right. Another Coyote, this time a smaller one, and he has something in his mouth nearly as big as he is. Laying my phone down with one and and getting my bow off my lap with the other I was able to draw as he was passing. Of course in my right, that’s how it works for right had shooters you know! My mind was saying lead it a little with the speed it was traveling but as I was drawing it stopped. Either the quick shot, drawing and shooting right from a stool, still leading it, or just a plain miss! My arrow passed right in front of it, I’m good at this missing stuff!

The only place to move silently, down the shallow stream. All was well until I hit the cliffs and deeper water. Too many dens and bones for this old man and his stickbow. So up the mountainside I went, my tongue probably hanging out!
