I showed it to my wife and she said it was a Hippo! Then she went on to inform me that those things were dangerous!

No clue. Color wise, it about has to be swine, bear, canine, or feline... do you have bear?

We do have Bears, not a lot, and never seen any in this area. This area floods a lot so not as many critters, snakes, bears, and ticks. Skeeters make up for it.

I can see the light tan or whatever color that is, going through the black creature, separating at least part of the black image. I'd have to lean hard guessing dogs at this point

I think your right on the dogs. That's all I heard yesterday morning in that area, chasing and barking dogs! Had one walker hound come by me.
