Just experimenting .

#1 Post by Graps »

Took this piece of antler and cut a couple slots with a hacksaw .
Filled them in with a secret ingredient .
Sanded and buffed .
I think I like the one on the left best .
I have an idea that I want to do and this is going to work .

I'm getting a vision of some beautiful inlays in the knife handles. That's my guess anyway.

Yeah , I'm going to try and cut some fine slots in a pattern or design and fill it in .
With all the overtime at my work lately , I don't know when I'm going to get it done .
But when I do , I'll show you guys .

You need glasses Jason , The one on the right has black specks in it . That was embossing powder . It also resisted the adhesive , it would just bead up .
The one on the left is colored sand that you can get at an art supply , it sucked up the adhesive like a sponge .

Hahaha! I had to look up embossing powder because I didn't know what it was! I still like it better, them black dots are what attracts me!

Now, I wouldn't know a thing about it working with adhesives or not other then what you teach me, but just looking at the pic not knowing anything else or any better....i like it! :D
