Got my ground blind set-up.

#1 Post by Graps »

I'm wanting to hunt with a longbow this year so I raised my blind 8" on some blocks.
I still need to cover the bottom yet but this will give you the idea.

Do you shoot just like that, or 'brush in' your blind?

Good job Graps. Been thinking along that line myself, though about adding a pvc extension, then sewing an extra piece across the bottom. Your making it easier.

If I were to hunt within a few days of setting it up I would brush it in.
But seeing it's two months away from the opener, it doesn't matter.
I got some black burlap to make a skirt around the bottom.

Do you hunt in the same spot or pick a different spot every year?
Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.

I have hunted this spot for three years now.
I do sometimes sit in thick stuff with my ghillie in other spots but I have to sit very still when I do that and it's hard to do with a bad back.

Tell me about it...sciatica doesn't help either.

Thanks for reminding me. I have a big mike blind I need to set up.
