Well I went ahead and purchased a second Elk tag for this season. It is only good on private land though. I can start hunting antlerless elk this coming Wednesday.
I have permission from a number of people, so I could actually have a cow elk in my freezer by next weekend. Unreal!
I guess I can thank the wolves. They are the main reason for the Elk moving back down into the valley foot hills and river bottoms. For the last few years we have had them in our yard a couple of times at night.
So it looks like I get 5 months to harvest a cow using the B license.
