Hornfrog was ready

#1 Post by Carpdaddy »

But the Deer was on strike! Did enjoy watching the squirrels though, almost took a shot on a big fat fox squirrel. Changed arrows, stood up and got ready, but the critter stopped right on the base of a big tree and arrows are too expensive! He left in the other direction behind the tree.

Squirrel is just as good as venison , if you don't have any venison .

I was in the same tree that I hunted from the first time I found this place, that was earlier in the season and I saw plenty of deer then. Since that time the fields surrounding it have been harvested and disk up resulting in a pattern change for deer. Now I got to change with them.
