Shoot in the garage almost every night, about 10yrds. Lost count on the misses, only damage is in the osb board. Finally created a back stop to ease the pain on my wall.

For a backstop I went to my local Tractor Supply company and purchased a stall mat for $20.00. I use it behind my outdoor target but would be great indoors. It will even stop a broadhead tipped arrow, don't ask me how I know.

Tony how big are those stall matts? How heavy, and how do you hang it? Thanks.

Different sizes, thicknesses, and prices. Mine is 4X3, Kirk would need 12X20'!
Check your Tractor Supply store, here's a link.

Oops; sorry I was busy grinning and throwing smart remarks towards Kirk and forgot the rest of the question. My small one is maybe around 50-70lb?? I screwed a old decking board across the top longer than the mat, drilled a hole in each end, and tied a rope through. Hunt over a limb I cut off.

Ouch, he's getting it from all sides today! Poor Kirky.....

Im going to look one of the bigger sizes up to use myself. Most the time I keep it on a small bale, but I do suffer from target panic now and again and my shed is TIRED of it..
The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.

I often use a small feed sack stuffed with old clothes, good to have a larger backstop for those not so good shots.

Thanks for the info and the site, checked it out tonight and they look like they'll work great in the garage. Hey did't mean to cause a stir between you two, thank goodness no one has seen me shoot out here
