Well, the particular piece that I bought was 62 inches straight with no knots. The rings on both ends are medium (some are small) with no knots rights stave has been debarked and sapwood removed and completely sealed. Stave is 2-1/34 wide and 2" deep, which does not leave a whole lot of room for error in the width department (oh well). This guy has a 99 percent rating on ebay and has sold thousands of staves. He says that if you have a problem he will resolve it. I figured 28 bucks total, I'll take the chance. He includes when the stave was cut, takes eight pictures of each stave including both ends, photos from all manner of angles so you can get an idea of: twist, straightness, above and below ect. I expect it will be a great stave and if I ruin it? Oh well, planning on sourcing my own local woods soon. Only catch is staves are usually only a month old so its gonna have to sit. According to Clay though, you can rough out the bow and seal it to decrease drying time (prolly) what I will do. If you ebay search osage orange stave he is the one with the pictures outside. Good luck!

All I need is to add the seat and the hinge.
