So, who's in training for this fall?

The majority of your bowhunting year is spent practicing and/or training. This is the place to discuss it!

I try to shoot at least 4 times a week. These 90 degree days make it tough.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

This is the method of shooting randomly around the target in anticipation of the animal moving suddenly at the moment of the shot.

Actually I was playing around with different seated positions while shooting.
This was the results and I thought it was funny, so had to take a picture.
PS: this was from 12 yards  That's pretty bad :? :x

From what I understand bear have big vitals, if thats your bad shooting then you are set! what your ideal shot on a bear be? bear position and arrow location?

I have really been amping up my shooting time. I slowed down a lot last year do to shoulder problems, It feels great to shoot daily again. I still am not shooting the frequency that I used to but I am getting there. Two nights ago I shot one of the best groups of my life inside my buddies horse barn only to screw it all up and pulling the last arrow 6" to the left of the rest of the group   can never get enough practice.

For me the ideal bear shot would be full broadside.
Shot placement would be just behind the shoulder and centered top to bottom.
Just a little diffrent on a deer. I would shoot a little closer to the shoulder and a third of the way up the chest.

I've read that a bear can survive a single lung shot if no other vitals are hit.

I bet so, just conjecture but I would guess most healthy animals could run off one lung for a long time, if not indefinitely. My Uncle Ron has been doing it for years!
