Broadheads-New Poll
Since we have an influx of new members here, I'm curious to see what your broadhead preference is. It would be helpful to mention the game you hunt with them if you could. Pick as many options as apply to your situation (more than one answer OK) You may change your vote at any time.

Re: Broadheads-New Poll
I guess I should go first. In the past, I've hunted with good ol' Zwickey Eskimos, although I'm considering the Woodsman and solid bevel-types in the future. I've shot Bear Razor Heads but not hunted with them.

I use 145 gr glue on snuffers. Cedar arrows.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Re: Broadheads-New Poll
I've always been happy with 125 gr 2 blade Ace or Magnus heads although I did use Bear Razorheads many years ago. I still have a couple of those Browning apple corers from the 60's that Dad had to try. I still can't believe he hunted with them. I don't think he ever did draw blood with one. See photo

Jesus replaces the old covenant and speaks to the believer the moral code of God by His Spirit directly to the heart. He is the eternal, everlasting revelation of God to mankind. In Him is both the knowledge of righteousness and the power to live right.

I remember those, they had terrible penetration.

Craig, those look like a B-grade drive-in horror flick!!!!!!!
I would imagine penetration would be horrible!

that's right, they were great on apples but lousy penetration for hunting; and just imagine how much fun they would be to sharpen. Scary looking, but why would you be trying to intimidate a deer???

I use primarily 2 blade single bevel or 3 blade. Everything is cut on contact and most are simple screw in with carbon arrows but I do like the very cost effective zwickey glue on s with adaptors for the nock around heads for coon, squirrel and other "must shoot" situations like snakes and opposums.

Re: Broadheads-New Poll
I like a few different broadheads as of late. All are 2 blade fixed glue on with single bevel, tanto tipped. From the poll I chose: glue on, 2 blade fixed, 2 blade beveled, and solid.
Cutthroat- 190 gr with other hardware to equal 350gr and 370gr.
Grizzly Kodiaks- 200gr + hardware to equal 350gr.
Grizzly- 140gr+ hardware to equal 270gr.
Tuffhead- 300gr.
It's not hard to see I like heavy heads. I use these with various combinations on carbon Beman Hunters, and woodies in cedar or douglas fir. Primarily I hunt whitetail, and Turkeys, using light poundage bows.

The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.
