The greenie needed to lose weight, this one could stand to gain a few pounds, hummmm.
These are my bows so I can get by with trying strange stuff. So the last bow was “Trapped” to lose weight, this one is being “Piked”, which simply means to shorten it. I removed the tips carefully using a razor blade, measured down the same on each tip, taped, and glued them back on. Then cut the end off beyond the new tip, filed down, and redone the string nocks. Sorry I didn’t think to take pictures of it, but I have shown this before. So with 1” off each side a 62” bow becomes a 60” bow. I prefer to take baby steps so I only did 1/2” on each side. How much weight was gained I do not know, I flung a few rounds out of it, don’t think it gained a whole lot, but enough to make my 600 spine arrows with 200 grain points too weak. That is what shot best out of it before, but could shoot the same arrows with a little less weight, and okay with 500 spine and 225gr points. Oh and with the new length she got a new string also, can’t expect her to wear the same stuff now can you?
Since I have no pictures of it I’ll post one of the hummingbird buzzing around my head and shop while I was doing it, I must be sweet!

Next comes the riser...
I shot a medium high grip more like a recurve best, this one is more low wrist, what shall I do? (If anything) :ugeek:
