Gluten free Alfredo

#1 Post by Graps »

Thought I would put this one on here too.
Being gluten intolerant is a tough way to find something good to eat.
So I figured that I should share some of my recipes that I have came up with.
The Alfredo sauce made with no flour.

In a large frying pan on medium heat put a full stick of butter ( not margarine)
Now as that gets melted, pour on a pint of heavy cream.
Stir on the heat almost constantly until the butter and cream are fully incorporated ( you see no separation )
Turn the heat to low and simmer for about and 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
Now sprinkle Parmesan cheese in the cream sauce and I don't measure, I just keep adding it a little at a time until the sauce starts to thicken some.
Then keep simmering and sturing occasionally until its is thick enough that it sticks to the spoon kinda like pancake batter.

Now what can I put it on?
I use this for colorful pizza crust with the toppings I can with mozzarella cheese and bake as instructions for the pizza.
It's good on spaghetti squash and all kinds of vegetables.

Something else with this one, you can put peas and onions in it.
That is just scrumptious when put on salmon patties.
