A college fraternity brother and his 12 year old daughter came to visit around a month ago and she brought her bow specifically to shoot with me. We broke a few clay birds, had a great time, and I told her I'd make her an arm guard. We went inside to pick out the leather and Vivian fell in love with a big sanded stingray hide I had just bought. So she picked out a trim color and this is the end result. I put in the mail to her today. I think she'll be pleased.

I don't normally use stingray hide for arm guards because it's too abrasive and will eat a string up in a hurry. You rarely find one that is sanded smooth like this one was so it should be okay. It was also huge! A hide that size would cost close to $200 on the open market. I got it for $30 at Springfield Leather Company.

That's very nice looking.
