My wife and I are going to a wedding today and the bride and groom are both bowhunters. To be a little different, I made them matching arm guards as a present. If they don't like them, they can always use them as coasters or dog chew toys.
Both have a vegetable tanned cowhide backing. The dark brown leather on the facing is hippo hide and the tan leather is ostrich skin. The maroon leather for the letters is whitetail deer hide and the olive trim is New Zealand red deer. I carved the lace hooks out of deer antler material. Everything was sewn by hand with either black artificial sinew or cream B-50 Dacron. I thought the B-50 added a nice touch.

Chew toys or coasters...I don't think so! Awesome work, Darren. You never cease to amaze me.
