In many cultures, red is the color of life. It is the color of blood, the river of life that keeps all the creatures (well, maybe not shellfish...) moving in our world. The sun, which brings life in the dawn, rises big and ruddy red in the summer, and sets, promising a new dawn, the same way. It is the color of sex, to the Aztecs. The good red road, the blush in our cheeks, the flush of passion in a turkey's wattles, and deer in the summer.
I am always amazed at how red they get, and then they transform into gray ghosts in the fall.
Wonderful pictures, littlebigman.
Reminds me of a red deer story that I have not let out yet.
Working slowly on it. Like being a parent, I never feel that I am ready yet.

Went out to the property yesterday to cut the grass and check the cameras. I love seeing the little ones.
