71 now. How many - in the majority - are just as familiar with the layers of foams and their qualities in their mattresses (just had to buy a new one) as they are the layers of materials in their bow limbs?

Well I slipped past my gezzerhood several years ago, about when I gave up with compounds and got out the recurves, The Darton that was the subject of my introductory post is my gift to me for my 75 birthday, this coming April. :D

I did that also back around the late 1990's. I too drifted into compounds for a while and was never too happy with my 52" Ben Pearson. Then one day someone had an add in the local shopper for 3 recurves. Two were 50# and one, a 1966 Bear Grizzly was 41#. That got me going again. I doubt I'll catch up to you, since you have about a two year headstart.

I thought we were fairly close in age when you mentioned Dodgers (Dad was chrushed!, Loved the Dodger, hated LA) so he became a Giant fan, especially after the outfit he worked for built prestressed concrete beams for Candlestick. Didn't hurt that Willy Mays came with 'em! :D
