Settled in. It’s always interesting the first sit of the year. Making sure everything is organized and in place. I forgot my foam pad is all. Threw on a jacket as it was a little cool. Of course I should have carried it in instead of wearing it. Well I’m here. 45 mins before sunrise. Didn’t spook anything walking in. Heard a owl and crickets. Ah to relax and enjoy it now.

I had 3-4 does skirt by about 100 yards out in the timber. Pretty thick with all the leaves right now. Also sighted in my 300 win mag today.

Morning hunt with my son. Should have checked this stand before season. Had some vines and maybe ivy to deal with climbing in. All set now. Picture of a visitor from Friday AM.

Chasing does now. Never shot a buck this early in season before.
