You guys do anything out of the ordinary to get in shape for your hunt?
I used to walk 3 miles or more two nights a week but this year my knees are kicking my *** when I do.

Idk, but I can tell you setting stands kicked my butt. I was sore all over the place...esp my stomach muscles. I get sore every year from that climber stand. Getting worse now that ive slowed down walking the bobcat and coon trap lines...now i just sit around all winter gettin fatter, when I use to walk a bunch every day from Nov-March.
The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.

Not usually but today I did start some light shoulder therapy as discussed on another thread. A friend of mine begins months in advance walking with a vest he has weighed to 25lbs. I can't handle that, like Jason; setting stands whopped up on me pretty bad!
