I do have a brand-new quart of Minwax PolyCrylic water-based clear coat I bought just for this purpose, but had planned on using that over stained arrows.

I see. I asked because with some finishes the fletchtite won't hold to. I know lacquer for sure requires Duco cement to fletch with if you are staying away from tape. I like tape on wood, because cement is almost impossible to get off wood shafts if you need to replace fletching.

Here's my plan; paint and fletch up 4 arrows, then see if I can destroy them. Make changes as necessary. 8-)

I'm thinking unless you just set out to destroy them, they should last a while. Eventually with an amount of shooting they do go bye bye but they are tougher then what many folks might think!

What I meant was shoot the heck out of them and fund the weak links before fletching up the whole dozen
